Step 1: Verify your eligibility
This program is for City of San Diego residents only.
If you have purchased 2 discounted rain barrels since 2023, you are not eligible to order again. Your order will be cancelled and refunded.

Step 2: Order your rain barrels for pickup at a distribution event
Save your confirmation email from Rainwater Solutions. That is your ticket to get your rain barrel.
Add a workshop registration! Events include a free workshop to help you learn how to set up your rain barrel and the best ways to use it to harvest as much rainwater as possible! Register in advance to hold your spot. Event attendees can pick up pre-ordered rain barrel(s) immediately after the workshop.

Step 3: Pick up your rain barrels
Rain barrels must be picked up at the event for which they are purchased. We cannot guarantee rain barrels will be held for a later pickup.
If you are unavailable, a family member or neighbor may pick up your order using the confirmation number in the email sent by Rainwater Solutions.

Purchase:
Rain barrels are $30 each for City of San Diego residents after the $75 discount.
Limited quantities, discount available while supplies last.
There is a lifetime limit of 2 per household. If you’ve purchased 2 rain barrels since the promotion began in 2023, additional purchases will be cancelled and refunded.
Pick up:
Barrels can fit in the average 2 door sedan.
Must arrive during the designated window to pick up your barrel(s) at the event selected upon ordering.
After you place your order you will get an email with more instructions before the event, save this for reference!
