Green Living Tours
Visit us at our home base in Encinitas as we walk you through some easy steps to address issues around water, waste, soil health and more with practical solutions you can incorporate into your life and home starting now!
On this tour, you'll see sustainability in action as you explore our worm bins, greywater systems, innovative compost projects, tool lending library, water-wise garden, and more. You'll leave one step further on your journey to living a sustainable lifestyle.
For individuals and groups of 6 or less, sign up online to reserve your spot. Space is limited. For groups of more than 6, email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a private tour for a nominal fee.
Green Living Workshops
Solana Center’s Green Living Workshops educate San Diegans and empower them to live more sustainably.
The workshops can be held at a variety of locations. Expert presenters share their tips for greening your home, conserving resources, and saving money. Past topics have included beekeeping, greywater systems, residential solar, and barn owls in the home and garden.
Lunch n Learn Workshops
Solana Center can bring fun and informative sustainability workshops to your office!
Workshops range from 45-minutes to about an hour in length with a variety of topics to choose from, including Composting, All About Water, Gardens Galore, and Zero Waste.
Our Eco Container is a re-purposed shipping container that has been transformed into a demonstration center for environmental sustainability.
This site, located at the Del Mar Fairground’s Infield Farm, features hands-on displays on the three Rs (Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle), composting, water conservation and proctection, and more! It is available to host your sustainability workshops and events.
