Composting Booth at Touch-a-Truck Lakeside Edition

Touch-A-Truck is a family event that happens all over the Country to challenge "the absurd belief that a four-year degree is the only path to success". As kids sit in the driver's seat of some of San Diego's largest vehicles, they will learn about industrial career paths that get your hands in the Earth. In addition to the 50+ vehicles to explore, there will be games, food trucks, and carnival entertainment!

Solana Center will be there to teach families about composting and its importance to a healthy Earth. Though our worm-mobile is not available right now, we will be giving kids a hands on experience with composting by introducing them to our worms at work. Come help the next generation learn about working with the Earth!

At this event you will assit with:

  • Setting up our booth
  • Sharing information about Solana Center
  • Sharing information about composting and showing off our worms at work
  • Packing up shop

Multiple Shifts Available:

  • 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
  • 12:00 - 4:00 PM

Pick one or stay for both!
