Watershed Booth at Surfing Madonna Beach Run

Make a difference and help our Master Composter students learn more about improving the quality of our soil, reducing waste and air pollution and saving energy, money, and water through composting.

The Surfing Madonna Beach Run is the largest beach run in the country, with thousands of runners streaming down Encinitas's world famous Moonlight Beach.

Solana Center will be hosting a booth at the entrance to the run teaching race goers about watershed protection. We need volunteer to help us teach thousands of merry racers about the local watershed and how they can protect our waterways and our earth from harm. Come revel in the festivities with us while you educate San Diegan's on how to care for their environment!

At Surfing Madonna, you will assist with:

  • Setting up our booth
  • Sharing information about Solana Center
  • Hosting our watershed model and teaching the public about stormwater pollution
  • Sharing information about composting and recycling
  • Packing up shop

Multiple Shifts Available:

  • 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM
