Make a difference and help our community learn about improving the quality of our soil, reducing waste and air pollution and saving energy, money, and water through composting!

Assist one of our Solana Center educators during this 2-hour presentation that covers both traditional composting and an introduction to Bokashi fermentation.  Help engage participants with compost education and at the same time, learn compostig and Bokashi basics from our expert educators.

The workshop will be held at the Tecolote Canyon Nature Center after a bird watching hike by the Audubon Society!  Volunteers are welcome to join the hike before hand at 8 AM if they would like. We are very excited about this pairing of bird love and compost love!

In this workshop, you will assist with:

  • Setting up our presentation area (tables, chairs, info material, etc)
  • Event sign-ups and registration
  • Handling our flip chart
  • Sharing props and visuals
  • Packing up our presentation supplies
