Learn about composting and Bokashi!
Join Solana Center for this 2-hour presentation at the beautiful Tecolote Canyone Nature Center where you will learn the basics of backyard composting and an introduction to Bokashi- a way to compost ALL of your food waste.
Bokashi is a method for fermenting all organic waste, including meat, dairy and liquids. The process uses lactobacillus bacteria to predigest waste matter, which minimizes odors and decreases composting time.
Workshop includes optional nature hike sponsored by the Audubon. More information will be posted here as we get closer to workshop date.
