Zero Waste Encinitas State of the City Address

Help the City of Encinitas make their State of the City Address a Zero Waste event!

The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Encinitas, is holding their annual State of the City Address and has asked Solana Center to help the occasion be a Zero Waste Event.

There will be hors d’oeuvres from 15 different local restaurants and a no host bar, and it will be up to us to get food scraps, recycling, and trash sorted correctly.  Educate event attendees on waste reduction, and at the same time, hear exciting news about the community with a keynote speech from Mayor Catherine Blakespear.

At this event, you will assist with:

  • Setting up disposal stations
  • Working in teams to monitor each station
  • Educating event attendees on disposal practices

**If you cannot stay for the whole event, you are still more than welcome to join us for part!  Please contact to communicate your availability.**
