This opportunity is available to those with composting experience or Master Composter Course graduates only.
Help the next class of Master Composters become compost stewards in their community! Join us for this in-person Master Composter course taking place at the Spring Valley Community Center.
At this event you will assist with
- Setting up our presentation area (tables, chairs, info material, etc)
- Guiding students with a team bin build or full foot print turn
- Supporting instructors as needed
- Packing up our composting tools and accessories
Volunteer Shift
- Saturday, May 21st, 8:00 am to 12:45 pm (2 volunteers). This is the third shift in a four part series.
Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Wear clothes to get dirty in! Gloves will be provides but feel free to bring your own.

Bring: Reusable water bottle, sun protection.

Experience Needed: Must have graduated from a Master Composter course previously (graduates from non-Solana Center programs accepted).

Age Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements: Must be willing to do hands-on work and able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Safety: All participants must sign an additional COVID-19 volunteer waiver BEFORE EVENT DAY (this will be sent in an info email 1-4 days before the event). Please be prepared to show proof of vaccination (or a negative PCR test from the past 7 days) on event day.
