Composting and Vermicomposting Workshop at the Water Conservation Garden

Assist one of our Solana Center educators during this 2-hour presentation and, at the same time, learn the basics of vermicomposting.

Make a difference and help our community learn about improving the quality of our soil, reducing waste and air pollution and saving energy, money, and water through composting!

Assist one of our Solana Center educators during a 2-hour presentation at the beautiful Water Conservation Garden. Volunteers with any level of experience are a big help. If you are new to the craft, this is a great way to learn the basics yourself, and if you are a wizened veteran, it's a perfect chance to pass on that knowledge and get a refresher course.

In this workshop, you will assist with:

  • Setting up our presentation area (tables, chairs, info material, etc)
  • Event sign-ups and registration
  • Advancing PowerPoint slides or handling our flip chart
  • Sharing props and visuals
  • Packing up our presentation supplies
