Open registration for this workshop has closed, but we have just a few spots remaining for unincorporated San Diego County residents and gardeners with plots at Sweetwater Community Garden ONLY. If you are not a Sweetwater gardener, please verify your residency** first. Eligible individuals can sign up by emailing kelsea@solanacenter.org by 12 PM on Friday, May 13; unincorporated residents, please include your address in the email.
**Enter your address here to verify your residency. If your jurisdiction boundary result is "SD COUNTY," you are eligible to register.
Join Solana Center for this 2-hour presentation where you will learn the basics of traditional backyard composting. Using trial-tested advice and interactive demonstrations, our experienced educators will teach you all you need to know to get started with a bin that fits your needs and lifestyle.
Special offer for those with plots at Sweetwater Community Garden! Gardeners are eligible to receive 1 free Earth Machine compost bin* per person, per garden plot by attending the workshop**, courtesy of the County of San Diego. To reserve your free bin, please email compost@solanacenter.org by 12 PM on Thursday, May 12 so we can bring your bin to the workshop.
*The free bin type was formerly listed as a Soil Saver. Due to supply chain issues we cannot offer additional Soil Savers, but will be substituting the comparable Earth Machine bin for all reservations made after April 8. We apologize for any inconvenience.
**If you have not received a free bin at a previous workshop/webinar.
Este seminario se ofrecerá en español al mediodía durante el mismo día. Regístrese aquí.
