Vermicomposting with an In-Ground Bin Webinar - County of San Diego

Vermicomposting (worm composting) is an environmentally-friendly way to turn your food waste into nutrient-rich castings for your plants or garden beds. Learn how easy it is to start composting with red wiggler worms using an in-ground worm bin during this webinar. Offered in partnership with RCD of Greater San Diego County.


Join Solana Center for this webinar where you will learn the basics of vermicomposting (worm composting). Using trial-tested advice and demonstrations, our experienced educators will teach you all you need to know to get started with an in-ground vermicompost bin.

This webinar will be held using Zoom, so please note that you will need to have the Zoom application installed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) to attend and participate. You will receive an email with the link and password to join on the day before the webinar occurs.

Individuals with a garden plot at Sweetwater Community Garden can receive a FREE in-ground vermicompost bin and red wiggler worms by attending this webinar. Please email compost@solanacenter.org to claim this offer.

This webinar is funded by the County of San Diego and is intended for residents of unincorporated County. Anyone may attend, however, the webinar recording will be available for 7 days after the live presentation to unincorporated County residents only.
