Environmental Education Interns at the Solana Center work with youth and adults, mostly in the North County area of San Diego, to educate the public about stormwater issues, pollution prevention, recycling and composting. 

 

 

Interns may be involved in the following activities:

 

Compensation:

$10/hour plus mileage (15-25 hours per week)

 

Interns must be flexible and have a reliable vehicle.  Mileage is reimbursed.  Knowledge of local environmental issues is preferred. Interns gain hands-on experience in public speaking, outreach and event coordination. San Diego residents living in the North County area preferred.

 

Commitment:

Interns seeking a Spring/Summer internship preferred. Hours are flexible and an extended internship into the Fall 2008 is possible.
