Residential Curbside Recycling

Residential service includes curbside green waste collection and
recyclable materials collection.

Green Bin - Glass, Aluminum and tin cans, and Plastic
(please rinse and remove caps and lids. No need to remove labels)

Glass: All colors of beverage bottles (clear, amber, and green), food jars (i.e.pickle jars)

 

 

Aluminum cans & steel (tin) cans: Aluminum beverage cans, tin cans (canned vegetable and soup cans)

 

 

Plastic: Beverage containers with recycling symbols #1-7 (water, milk, soda, tea, and juices), bottles containing household cleaners with recycling symbols (shampoo, laundry detergent and window cleaners).

Blue Bin - Mixed paper and corrugated cardboard
Mixed Paper: Newspaper, office paper (all colors), direct mail, envelopes, catalogs, phone books, magazines, paper bags, cereal and other cardboard boxes, (boxes must be free from grease or food residue, and any plastic bags removed).
Corrugated Cardboard: When flattened and broken down into 3-foot long bundles, corrugated cardboard boxes may be placed at the curb line for recycling. Place the cardboard bundles along side the mixed paper container.
Yard Waste Collection

What materials WILL BE collected?
- Grass and leaves
- Yard trimmings
- Untreated, unpainted lumber and wood waste
- Tree and shrubbery clippings less than 4ft in length and 6 in in diameter
- Unflocked, unsprayed Christmas tress devoid of metal ornamentation or stands

What materials CANNOT be collected?
- Earthen matter
- Animal Waste
- Food remnants
- Decorated wood
- Material over 4ft in length and 6 in. in diameter

HOW to Participate?
1. Call to be supplied with two Yard Waste decals.
2. Affix the decal to the side of a trash container.
3. Place yard waste in this decal-designated container
4. Never place yard waste in plastic bags
5. On collection day, place the decal-designated container facing the street, in front of any other yard waste containers.

E-waste is that nearing the end of its useful life. Computers, televisions, monitors, VCR's, stereos, copiers, cell phones, and fax machines are common electronic products. Most contain materials that render them hazardous, depending on their condition and density.
